Local Attractions

This area of Wales has many tourist attractions: the castles of Harlech, Criccieth and Caernarfon, slate and copper mines, narrow gauge railways, Portmeirion village and Bodnant Gardens to mention a few.

Royal St. David’s Golf club is only a few miles away for those wishing to play a few holes on the renowned course.

There are the flat, sandy beaches of Dyffryn Ardudwy and Harlech, or for something a little more energetic why not try a woodland or hillside walk on one of the many public footpaths in the area. Or a bike ride on the picturesque cycle route 8 - mountain bikes can be hired from Barmouth to cycle the old railway line up the beautiful Mawddach Estuary. Or how about a Horse ride through the hills or try fishing, in the sea or the local rivers and lakes.
